After 7 years of sailing in the Mediterranean, Atlantic, Caribbean and Pacific it is unfortunately time for me to move on - this time on land. S/Y Kintaro is a superb ready-to-go bluewater vessel in excellent condition and is certainly the best Moody 44 you will find.
Described by Bill Dixon as the best yacht he ever designed, Kintaro was built in Plymouth in 1994 by Marine Projects and first splashed over a year later in 1995. Numerous upgrades and modernisations will make your sailing journey more enjoyable, including a large 600Ah Victron lithium house battery bank, 1000W of solar, extensive sail inventory, Schenker Zen watermaker, new Raymarine autopilot, and a new remote-controlled Lofrans anchor windlass. The standing and running rigging were most recently replaced in late 2022. The engine is a 50 horsepower Volvo Penta MD22L-A in first-rate condition, and an extensive inventory of tools and spare parts are on board.
