Hi Alan,
I suppose it all depends on how many batteries you connect the controller to? I personally wouldn’t connect the controller to both leisure/domestic & starter battery at the same time.

On SW we now have a 400w array on a rear arch into our leisure bank via a controller, then a smaller 25w panel going separately to the start battery via another controller, hence this panel is redundant for us.

No problem, but we’ve only just got down to the boat (Portland) for Xmas & NY, so won’t be home until early Jan 23.
