We are looking for a bilge keel boat less than 30ft with a standard layout. Forepeak, double quarter cabin heads in the other quarter. We have been looking at a Westerly Merlin and now potentially a Moody 28. Does anyone have experience of the pros / cons of both models?
Does anyone have a Moody 28 (bilge) boat test report as a PDF?

Hi Tim
I can only comment on a fin 28.
Love it, had mine for 14 years. The only down side is no hot water but that can be remedied with a heater for when hooked up to shore power or rerun the engine water cooling to a heater.
Colin Shead may be along at sometime I think his 28, Toodle Pip, is a bilge keeler.
Somewhere in the attached file is the original boat report from one of the yachting mags.
