Chaika II is a well-maintained example of this comfortable aft-cockpit Moody. She is the version of the S38 with the taller fractional rig and fin keel, giving good sailing performance.
Four berths in two cabins, one a large owner’s stateroom, plus two berths in the saloon. Two heads and two showers.
Chaika II is easy to sail two-handed, and this is how we have mostly cruised in her.
Over the last few years, we have replaced Chaika II’s engine, standing rigging, autohelm, instruments and clutches. We have also re-epoxied the hull, re-upholstered her interior, and fitted a bimini, cockpit tent and davits.
