Moody S31 Moody s31 with Bilge Keel & Tiller Steering

Good afternoon, we are looking to purchase a Moody S31 with bilge keels and tiller steering and wondering if it is known how many were produced in this configuration please. Also if necessary would it be possible to convert one with wheel steering to tiller steering. Thank you.

when I was looking for a BK S31 I viewed 4 with a tiller and 1 with a wheel - could be that this is representative of the ratio; easier to find a tiller version I think

you can convert either way .........I guess....... but a lot of money and effort
better to wait for the right boat - good luck

As Adam advises there are far more tiller versions around, very few wheel versions produced by Marine Projects. Several have been converted to wheel by subsequent owners, these would probably be easier to convert back but any wheel version could be converted to tiller. We have a wheel version and the emergency tiller uses the fixing at the top of the rudder that can be used for a tiller conversion. If I find a photograph I will add it later.
