Hi Everyone,

Having finally moved home we are now looking to move to a smaller Moody and we think the Moody S31 or the S336 will be ideal for our next adventures. I’ve looked at the 31 Mk1 & Mk2’s and the Mk1 336’s and we are sure the S31 or the S336 is right for us.

I just thought I’d ask if anyone here has a late year model for sale? Bilge or Fin we don’t mind. However, the one pre-requisite it must have is that it must be Slab reefing.

BTW to be clear selling my existing M38 is not a pre-requisite for buying our next one.

Hope someone out there can help!

Many thanks

Andy

Hi Andy,
Are you sill looking for a Moody 336 ? We have a 1989 MK1 / Mk2 (some Mk2 features but with the better storage in the main and aft cabins). We are undertaking a new project and may well need to sell Supernova. She has slab reefing !(and hydrovane self steering amongst other bits).

Hi Andy

Unfortunately I have realised and had to accept that as I am now a part time carer for my wife and also approaching 83 years old I must give up my sailing after nearly 75 years and sell my Moody S336 which I have owned for the past very happy 25 years. She was one of the very last built in 1996, fin keel but because of my wifes unfortunate illness I have had very little opportunity to use during the last few seasons.

She is well equipped with single line slab reefing, lifting spinnaker pole, ST 50 interfaced instruments and autohelm. AIS, Eberspacher heating, 240v shore power and battery charger, etc.

I visited her this week just to check on her condition as she is wintering in the water in the Marina this year and at the same time discussed putting her on the market with the local Brokers, but as yet have not given them any instructions and so would be pleased to sell her at a sensible price (to anyone interested) reflecting the non payment of brokers commission.

If you, or any other member, are still looking for a late S336 then please do not hesitate to get in touch with me.

Regards
