Moody 47 Moody 47 tech question

Hi guys. Question please. I have noticed on this 2004 moody 47 that the strut that supports the tail end of the propeller is bent / offset. Is this normal?

Was this a design by Princess to remove the shaft without dropping the rudder. Or is it bent!!

Hi Steven,

As you surmise, the P-bracket was deliberately offset by Marine Projects / Princess so that the shaft could be drawn without dropping the rudder, a fairly common practice in yacht building. After all, the engine is just an auxiliary.
