At 20 years of age, is the teak decking a looming issue? what has the experience been with this model. Thanks for any insight you are willing to share. Pictures look good.

Hi Greg,

I know nothing of the Moody 46 but 20 years in the Mediterranean sunlight will take a teak deck near to the end of its life unless either:

It's kept covered (so no UV exposure) for a significant portion of each year, or

It has been laid thick enough to sand 2 or 3 mm off the top at 20 years, which would probably make it good for another 20 years.

Like the rest of the boat, the key thing is not so much her age but how well she has been looked after.
