Moody 35 Moody 35 steering accessibility

Hi looking at the Moody35 but coming from a tiller I am worried about how accessible it is to move from behind the wheel whilst sailing either in an emergency or just to change over.

Hi Maria,

You just step up onto the seat to pass the wheel, same as you do to step out of the cockpit.

Hi Maria,
We moved from a tiller and aft cockpit and it took a bit of getting used to. It’s seems awkward at first but we really don’t notice it anymore. When we are changing over at the wheel, one usually steps up the other side and the other step down from the opposite side.
I did look at the possibility of getting a folding wheel, but they are ludicrously expensive and probably wouldn’t make that much difference. I really wouldn’t let it put you off, the pay off is a particularly impressive aft cabin that most 35 boats would be envious of!
