Moody 419 Bunk Size

I am interested in a Moody 419 and like the overall layout. Only drawback is the bunk size in the master cabin.
Me (190 cm) and my wife (185 cm) are too tall for a bunk measuring only 180 cm.
Reserching the 419 I found a different set up of the master cabin with the bunk perpendicular to the boat axis - so I play with the idea of converting the axis-parallel bunk.
Has anyone an idea what the max. bunk size of such a lay out would be?

Robert, You are describing the M41 which has always had the aft cabin berth across the boat rather than in line with fore & aft. We like this for a number of reasons, one being that no leecloths are required - you only need to 'tack' (lie the other way round in the bunk) when the boat tacks. On a night passage this is very rare. The M41 is otherwise identical to the M419.

To change a M419 to a M41 configuration in the aft cabin would mean a lot of woodwork alteration to the heads. I have not measured the length of the berth in our M41 but doubt that it is very much longer. You could increase this by removing the lockers on port & starboard.
