Moody 27 Any comments on Moody 27 I'm going to look at tomorrow

Hi all,
first guest post here as I'm going to look at a Moody 27 bilge keel tomorrow. A few questions that if you have an opinion on please do respond:

1. It's 1984 bilge version which I need for the Solent, , I see hardly any threads on here about the 27 which is a bit worrying
2. What price range should I be looking at, online I can see @£10k - £18k
3. It has original Volvo 2002 18HP with unknown hours - should I be concerned as the last thing I want to do is re-engine a boat
4. What's great about these boats
5. What's not so great about these boats
6. I'm moving up from a 1995 Hunter 23 which is great but would like a bit more space and stability, I should get this from the Moody 27 ?
7. Are there any known issues with the 27
8. Are there specific things I should inspect
9. Any reason not to buy a 27

the 27s and 28 are great little boats, loads of space for the size, go like trains (I had a 28 fin)

but the engine and associated bits will probably need updating (sorry) - fuel tank also, and electrics - 80's boats are like that
if it starts well from cold and looks loved you might be ok..........
